The Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) will continue to fund courses focused on family development and parenting, using employer levy contributions, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
This initiative is part of the National Family Month celebration, which promotes the importance of family time and support for family welfare. The Prime Minister expressed full support for the initiative and urged employers to send their employees to attend these courses, which will be available throughout November this year.
His speech, read by his wife, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, during the event at the Kuala Lumpur Botanical Gardens, highlighted the growing importance of family-related education, given the challenges faced by families in Malaysia, influenced by rapid changes in society, technology, and demographics.

The Prime Minister emphasized that families in Malaysia are facing numerous challenges, such as demographic changes and the effects of climate change, and that concerted efforts from all sectors are needed to strengthen family institutions.
For additional support, Anwar urged ministries and state governments to make family activities a mandatory part of their annual agendas and encouraged NGOs and the private sector to implement welfare programs for families.
The Prime Minister assured that under the Madani Malaysia development agenda, efforts to elevate family institutions will continue, aiming to build a stronger, more resilient, and prosperous family structure in the country.
Also present at the event were Women, Family, and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri and her deputy Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad.
