Reasons to be bullish on Microsoft

Microsoft has seen its share price surged recently, especially with its recent earnings announcement that saw it beat the analysts' estimates. It appears that the company is on track for growth and profitability. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella refocused the company’s core strategy from devices and services, redefining it as a productivity platform for a “mobile-first, cloud-first-world.” In other words, Nadella explained that the company’s strategy is focused on empowering people to become more productive by delivering a cloud that connects all devices. IMPRESSIVE EARNINGS RESULTS AND SHARE PRICE RECENTLY Microsoft stock has traded between $39.72 and $56.85 per share over the past 52 weeks and has gained almost 20% in stock value over the past year, with a market capitalization of $432.39 billion. Only Alphabet (Google) and Apple actually beat Microsoft on that front. The company reported that its earnings increased 11% to $0.69 per share and its revenue rose two percent to $...

Microsoft wants everyone on board with "Windows 10" by July 2016

It is not a new story that Microsoft is giving away free "Windows 10" to everybody. The shift in strategy of the Redmond company has been gaining momentum under the leadership of Satya Nadella. Giving away the operating system for free may seems like a suicide strategy given how traditionally, the OS is one of the revenue generating products for Microsoft. The reason behind this is simple and it has been written over time and time again... WINDOWS 10 on one billion devices . 1 Billion Windows 10 Devices Getting Windows 10 onto one billion devices, (matching Apple's number on the iOS) is great but tough. Windows is a computer operating system, not a phone operating system and the era of PC's dominant has long gone. Of course, the PC market is still huge and massive, about 270 million units per year, and for Microsoft to arrive at their one billion target is still very much a possibility and to do it, and do if fast, Microsoft is giving it away for free. ...

Statistics that indicate Microsoft going the Right Direction

The earnings report is out for Microsoft Corp.  Behind the big figures, statistics indicate Microsoft going the Right Direction Microsoft's earnings today gave plenty of reasons for one to be positive about the company although it also saw the impact of a $2.1 billion operating loss factored in from the Nokia writeoff. Looking at the off balance sheet revenues in Microsoft, you can see that there is a $ 24.5 billion basically locked down, but that hasn’t been delivered yet. It is likely that Microsoft Office 365, the company's cloud-delivered, subscription-based productivity suite is the driving force for a significant amount on Microsoft's off-balance sheet revenues. It is obvious that the company is loving subscription methods to earn money more as the company switch their business focus. Microsoft Office 365 is the biggest revenue driver of the company’s enterprise cloud offerings. And it’s growing fast: Microsoft reported today that Office 365 has adde...
