Singapore shares advanced in early trading on Tuesday, with the FTSE Straits Times Index rising 0.3% to 4,401.05, supported by gains across property and healthcare counters.
Top Movers
Among companies with a market capitalization above S$1 billion, PropNex led the gainers, climbing 2.0%, followed by Thomson Medical Group, which added 1.7%, and Mapletree Logistics Trust, up 1.6%.
On the downside, Hutchison Port Holdings Trust fell 2.4%, while Golden Agri-Resources and Centurion Corpslipped 1.7% and 1.4%, respectively.
Currency and Bond Market
The U.S. dollar traded steady at S$1.30 against the Singapore dollar. In the bond market, the 10-year Singapore government bond yield edged up 0.5 basis point to 1.800%.
